How does 3-inch wall recline actually work? many massage chairs need 18 or more inches of open space behind them to recline. The Space Ease uses a forward-sliding base mechanism; instead of pushing the backrest backward, the entire seat slides forward as it reclines. The result is a full, flat position with nearly no footprint change. You get the full recline without the chair ever touching the wall.
